Varadinum Antiques

Welcome to our business site!

Varadinum Antiques is a business dealing in antiques imported from Europe. We have quality furniture and paintings mostly from the secession era. This style started in the second half of the 20th century around 1890 and flourished till about the 1920s.The name of this style differs by countries, but the meaning is the same .Art nuveau, Jugendstil, modern style, liberty style, Lilienstil, Wellenstil are just few of the names that this style is known by. Artists were looking for the unusual, symbolic sometimes bizarre in protest of the old arts. Different shapes come in to play elongated figures, angel like figures, flower arrangements, geometrical forms and colors that you rarely find in nature (like purple) come to dominate. For the very beginning we have look at the 19th Century England where such artists started the movement as J.Ruskin, W. Morris, D.G.Rossetti, E. Burne-Jones. The theoretical beauty manifested itself in the Belgian art transported there by the genial graphic artist A.V. Beardsley. This is the beginning of the unique characteristics of the style. It was present in all aspects of life even in the industrial design. Flourished in France under such artists as Toulouse-Lautrec and P. Gauguin. One of the first projects was the subway of Paris built in this style.
This beautiful art left long lasting effects in all the European countries

We'll use this site to introduce our business and explain the goods or services we have to offer. People don't want to spend time figuring out what a business does, so our home page will highlight the most important features of both our business and our web site. We'll think of the home page as a kind of portal, giving customers the information they want at a glance, and offering lots of links to draw them in to the rest of the site.

For example, we might feature a different item on the home page each month, along with a link to our products page so people can get more information.
